Limited Edition Metallic
This is one of my favorite classic DW-6900 G-Shocks. It belongs to the 'Metallic-G' edition from 2001.
This series consists among other models, 2 DW-6900FL models. One was a well known 'Snake Killer' DW-6900FL-6MJR, and another is this one. Not sure what to call this model so I nicknamed it "Brother of the Snake Killer"
The model is simply beautiful, IMO. It features metallic red/orange finish depending on of light that hits the watch at different angles.
The dial is actually very stealth in appearance. The dial insert is finished in glossy black, surrounding dial text (dark red text around the black edge circle of the dial) and the LCD color is exactly the same as on the Rusty/MIRB Frogman GW-200MS.
It features custom EL artwork, not sure what to make out of that one, though. It was supposed to feature a well known Japanese cartoon character used extensively on surf and skate boards custom work. All I can see is a little funny looking man fondling a giant mushroom
The caseback also sports a custom spikey looking letter 'G', nothing like I've seen before.
Anyway, off to the pics...sorry for the dust guys.
